Swedish gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has issued a warning to three operators for not including the requested information on their websites.
Sweden’s national gambling regulator has found that companies have breached section 17 of its gambling regulations by failing to include information on deposit limits and self-exclusion options and gambling time measurement in disconnection sections on their sites.
The Swedish regulator said the breaches were not serious, but that they were “neither minor nor inexcusable”. The companies involved are the bingo operator Tombola, the operator Multilotto Multi Brand Gaming, and SuperLottoClub More Tech Group.
The More Tech Group was also warned of violating sections 7 and 8 of the Swedish regulations by failing to provide contact details on its website.
All three operators corrected the breaches by adding the necessary information on their websites.
Last week, Spelinspektionen also issued warnings to AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) and Polar Limited for violating Swedish sports betting regulations.
The ATG company violated Sweden’s ban on accepting bets on the performance of athletes under the age of 18, and in the case of Polar, it violated the ban on betting on fouls leading to penalties, reservations, or red cards.
Meanwhile, the Jönköping Court of Appeal rejected eight appeals from operators regarding sanctions for accepting bets on sporting events under the age of 18.
Earlier this week, Spelinspektionen published the results of a new survey showing an increase in the use of unlicensed gaming sites in Sweden. Of the 3,208 people who responded to the regulator’s latest survey, 7% said they used a site that was not authorized in Sweden, an increase of 4 percentage points.
Now is the time to secure a significant chunk of the available market.
