Questions about these cases

Why are the clients not named?

We do not publish client names in case studies. Romanian Class II licenses are public: anyone can check a licensee in the ONJN register of Class II licensees. References are available on request, with the client's consent.

Can a foreign company get a Romanian Class II license without a Romanian subsidiary?

An EU or EEA company can hold a Class II license with a local representative in Romania, as the Maltese, Estonian, Spanish and Bulgarian cases show. Groups that prefer a local entity, or come from outside the EU, can form a Romanian company first, as in the UK, US, Malaysian, Italian, Portuguese and Israeli cases. See the Romania Class 2 guide.

How long did these Class II projects take?

A complete Class II file usually takes about two to three months from filing to grant; projects that start with company formation or a studio set-up take longer. See how long a gaming license takes.

Do you handle work after the license is granted?

Yes. We act as Romanian representative and local director for foreign licensees and file their monthly ONJN reports. See representation and ongoing compliance.
